President Biden… As an American, I’m Sad That I Only Feel Numb
Years of systemic gaslighting take a toll on this American's otherwise massive capacity for sympathy / empathy.
Former President Joe Biden’s team announced yesterday, May 18, 2025, that Mr. Biden suffers from a cancer diagnosis, with the disease having spread to his bones.
There has been reaction flooding across the transom since last night, ranging from words of consolation to Mr. Biden and the Biden Family to other words of frustration and disillusionment at the timing of this announcement / “revelation.”
After all, we’re now t-minus however-many-hours at this point, prior to the public release of the much-discussed book by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and co-author Alex Thompson, “Original Sin,” which already has been slow-dripped with previews that clearly skewer Team Biden and the whole DNC lot for orchestrating arguably the biggest fraud perpetrated on the American voting public since the Warren Commission’s codification of the highly implausible and recklessly / improperly investigated Kennedy Assassination “lone gunman” theory.
Like many Americans, I’m sure, I find myself more than a little depressed that this is the scenario in which we find ourselves with Mr. Biden’s duplicitous handlers.
The truth is already coming out. But like any slow-drip crisis allowed to fester ceaselessly and unfold literally over years now, there is more long-overdue truth here to be exposed.
Only a completely sunshined federal investigation will do.
As for Mr. Biden himself… I want to feel sad. I know I should feel sad.
But how can I generate the prescriptively correct emotion, when I only feel numb at this point, from years and countless public episodes of obvious gaslighting?
How can any thinking American buy into “the sympathy vote,” when this sordid history of long-range lying in massive disservice to the public interest has already been allowed for so long now, that trust has been decimated?
To that point, I try to have sympathy for any human being confronting an end-of-life diagnosis, presuming that what we’re now being told by Team Biden is even true.
Heaven knows we’ve been lied to by the Biden Machine – very much including Mr. Biden himself – from here to Sunday about all matters of his health. So, along those lines, I refuse to be party to continued manipulation by playing the “unknowing” victim of it.
I’m a lifelong Republican, but even so, for example, when President Carter passed away in December, I felt no hesitation to post a tribute online, with genuine appreciation for an American President’s life well-lived.
The fact that I did not agree nor will ever agree with many of Mr. Carter’s Democrat policy stances could certainly be set aside, in deference and with respect to Mr. Carter’s legacy of larger service to humanity that, in my view, transcended politics.
But Mr. Biden?
Sorry, not sorry… but “Mr. Biden, you’re no Jimmy Carter.” This situation is an entirely different beast.
And not simply because the entire morass of both stale and freshly unanswered questions is still playing out in real time.
The harms they inflicted (and I’m forced to say “they,” since we’re still reeling over here in America with the valid question, “Will the real Joe Biden and his signature please stand up?!”) – not to mention the dire national-security risks posed to an egregiously manipulated nation at the hands of this man, his wife, and their entire cast of characters – cannot be swept under any rug down here, in the land of the living… try as the Democrats will.
I suppose that I can only hope Mr. Biden in particular can find his way toward spiritual reconciliation – which only he and his conscience alone alongside his priest’s guidance can together forge with God. And I certainly hope that reconciliation occurs for him.
But no “tribute” posts from me.
I’m numb from it all and am simply done holding out any hope of genuine good faith from these folks.
